Olympic Modern Pentathlon – a Personal View

As a British Modern Pentathlon Team member at two World Championships, and winner of the Ride in 1979 on a horse twice eliminated at the British Juniors a fortnight previously, I feel strongly that the Ride can, and should, be saved. There follows an analysis of what I believe to be the fundamental problem, a suggestion of one way that it might be addressed, and a sample course along the lines of that suggestion.
